We started showing dogs in 1990 while living in Germany, we bought Lasko our first Keeshond from the Oet et Laand Van Aleer kennel in Haaksbergen run by the late Matt and Betti Zuidema. The following year we got our beautiful Noesjka who took the Bitch ticket and Jnr Winner title on her first time out at the Winners show in Amsterdam, we unfortunately left Germany before she could get her fourth CAC and CACIB so she did not become the champion she deserved to be. Back in UK we did some showing and had two litters but work for both Jean and I made it impossible to get to the shows we wanted to, so we dropped out of showing for around 10 years.
We got Keisha our first Samoyed in July 2006 from Violet Sutton of Petsamo Samoyeds whom we had known for about 12 years. We had lost Lasko two years previously and recently lost our beloved Noesjka at 14 years 3 months of age and although we still had Bobby and Amber felt the loss. We got our second Sammy Cherub in Oct 2007 three weeks after Violet Sutton had died suddenly, leaving behind her lovely Samoyeds two keeshonds and 4 six week old puppies, it was at this time that we took in one of the Keeshonds 'Shelly' (Lasko''s grandaughter) we had previously fostered her for ten months when Violet had been ill before. we kept Misty from a litter we had with Keisha and also have Evie from Cherub and Porthos imported from Snogems Kennel in America.
We lost Shelly in Nov 2012 two months after adding to our brood with a Keeshond puppy from the Venway Kennel in Netherlands, our thanks to Doortje De Wolff for our beautiful little Barbie kennel name Venway Believe in Magic at Samoykees, her line goes back on to our first Keeshond Lasko Oet Et Laand V Aleer. A mating for Barbie with Multi Ch Dolce Vita Dyck of Bloom white produced 'Laskia' who is now a Dutch Champion and Amsterdam Jnr Winner 2015, a mating with Prelude Tu a Kiss of kennel La Ginevrina in Caprese Italy and Laskia produced 'Tammy' who herself is now a Dutch Champion and Amsterdam Jnr Winner 2018. Laskia was then mated with Showtyme Admraal The Mighty Sven which produced our boy Kuruk Amsterdam Jnr Winner 2019. We lost Cherub in Dec 2020 then the following year we lost Porthos to a heart attack and Evie to Cancer and in Jan 2022 Misty had a stroke and went overthe bridge too.
Barbie, Laskia, Tammy and Kuruk are now joined by Ch Sofia Loren Della Ginevrina from Italy and a Samoyed called Saffy. For future matings see puppy plan with Sofia and Kuruk.
